In the last couple of years I’ve seen and gone through several organizational changes for the software development organization. The different methods/frameworks that were applied to the organization I’ve seen are Waterfall, Scrum, DevOps, Feature teams & Agile scaling. In this blog I will give a short introduction of the five methods/frameworks I encountered and are commonly used within different organizations. Looking at these methods/frameworks, I noticed a lot of overlap between them and usually one method/framework is built on or extended from another method/framework.

Now that the hype around the Business-IT gap died down, it looks like the issue has been solved. No, the gap is still there and it will never go away. Is this a bad thing? I don’t think so, but we need to have a good look at the Agile principles.

It was a great opportunity and experience for me this year to be able to attend the Pegasystems’ annual user conference, namely PegaWorld 2017, held in MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas together with more than 4000 people attending from 600 different firms and 50 different countries.
