A new role, a new face. Meet our account manager

Since March 1, 2024, Frans van As started as account manager at BPM Company. Due to the growth of our organization and Jan Willem van Asperen’s intention to focus more on consultancy services, this role of account manager came available. Whereas Jan Willem was largely in charge of customer contacts in recent years, Frans is now gradually taking over part of the commercial activities. Besides maintaining a number of existing relationships, he will also focus on new potential Pega customers in the Netherlands. In this blog Frans tells how his adventure started at BPM Company and how he experienced the first months.

From tester to account manager

My journey in IT began in 2007 as a tester and over the years I have developed myself into an account manager. Contacting customers, solving problems and helping people are aspects of my work that I really like. At BPM Company, I will continue to pick up and expand my role. I will delve into the world of Pega, get to know BPM Company’s customers and, of course, get to know our consultants.

Ready for a new challenge

The adventure at BPM Company began when I came into contact with Eelco through my former colleague, Hans Steenwijk. After 17 years I felt it was time for a new challenge outside the world of testing. In the contacts with different colleagues within BPM Company I noticed that the organization suits me well. They strive for high quality and the organizational structure is clear. I even went along to a customer to speak with the CIO. There I got my impressions confirmed, which were also echoed within the organization.

Focus on quality

After several conversations, I made the switch to BPM Company. The first two months have now passed and the first introductory meetings with clients have taken place. You notice that the relationships that are built on trust and long-term cooperation. It is great to see that BPM Company is perceived as a true Pega specialist and that people are opting for quality and local presence.

Looking to the future

With my arrival, BPM Company expects to continue to give the right attention to its customers in the future. This gives Jan Willem van Asperen the possibility to focus more on expanding our consultancy services so that users of the Pega platform can get even more value out of their investments.
