A proud Business Supporter of the World Wildlife Fund

For some time now, we at BPM Company have proudly supported the World Wildlife Fund (WWF-NL) as a Business Supporter. WWF works around the world to keep our planet a livable place for both people and nature. Through our financial contribution, we aim to support their mission, with a special focus on the restoration of the Atlantic Forest. Forests are vital in the fight against climate change. They are home to hundreds of thousands of plant and animal species, provide food and clean water to millions of people, and play a key role in regulating the global climate by absorbing CO2, producing oxygen, and influencing rainfall patterns.

About the Atlantic Rainforest

The Atlantic Rainforest stretches along the eastern coast of Brazil and extends inland into Argentina and Paraguay. It is one of the most biodiverse ecosystems on Earth: around 7% of all plant species in the world can be found here, and a single hectare can contain up to 440 different tree species. This unique forest is also home to many rare and endangered animal species. Unfortunately, due to large-scale deforestation, only 15% of the original forest remains. That’s why WWF is working hard to restore, reconnect, and protect forest areas, so that wildlife populations can recover and local communities can once again thrive alongside the forest.

The impact of WWF and her partners

Thanks to the efforts of WWF and its partners, nearly 35,000 hectares of forest have already been restored, 15,000 hectares have been preserved, and 2,611 local people have become actively involved in protecting the jaguar. These results have been made possible through initiatives such as training local communities, maintaining dialogue with governments, and working closely with local farmers.

As a WWF Business Supporter, we at BPM Company want to make a positive contribution to the preservation and restoration of our planet. We believe that businesses have an important role to play in supporting nature projects that create long-term impact. That’s why we fully support WWF’s message: “Give forest back to the earth.”
