Bram Agterberg

Pega Consultant, Co-practice lead & Launchpad enthusiast at BPM Company

“I grew up in Wijk bij Duurstede and moved to Utrecht when I started my studies. I was looking for something that combined creativity with problem-solving, which led me to study Information Science. I soon realized that my interest lay at the intersection of people and IT. How do systems work for people, and how do you ensure that technology is logical, understandable, and pleasant to use? During my studies, I became increasingly interested in process-driven work. I was also very interested in UI and UX.”

The connection with BPM Company

“From the very first introduction, BPM Company felt like the right fit. The initial conversation with the recruiter was open and pleasant, and it was quickly followed by a meeting with the CEO. I found that particularly meaningful: it clearly showed that BPM Company has short lines of communication and is an organization where everyone is accessible and approachable. At the same time, it was clear that BPM Company is at the forefront in terms of expertise. I also spoke with other Pega partners, but nowhere else did I get such a strong sense that knowledge truly forms the foundation. BPM Company felt like a place where I could genuinely continue to grow and develop.”

Learning in a top team

“That expectation has more than been met. From the moment I started, I noticed that my colleagues shared the same drive. They were equally eager to learn, ambitious, and motivated to keep improving. The team consisted of many young professionals, supported and guided by experienced experts. It truly felt like I had joined the top team in the Pega market.”

Diversity in projects and content

“The assignments at BPM Company have always been highly diverse—not only in terms of industry and background, but also from a technical perspective. This allowed me to develop very broadly.
I worked on government projects for organizations such as the State Supervision of Mines and the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate, and also completed an interesting assignment at LeasePlan. For the past two years, I have been working at De Mandemakers Group. In these roles, I have been closely involved in new initiatives and innovations, with UI and UX often playing an important role. I have also gained extensive experience with Constellation.”

Room to grow

“What makes BPM Company a great employer for me is the combination of expertise and culture. The atmosphere is open and informal, communication lines are short, and I know many people within the organization. That works well, because you quickly know who to turn to. There is a strong focus on learning and personal development, which has benefited me greatly. If you show initiative and are eager to grow, there are truly many opportunities.”

Outside of work

“In my free time, I enjoy going to concerts, often at TivoliVredenburg. My musical taste is broad: ranging from classical to electronic and pop. I’m also very passionate about cycling. That love started when I climbed Mont Ventoux, only the third time I had ever ridden a road bike. Challenging yourself like that, reaching the top, taking in the view, and then heading back down… it’s a feeling that’s hard to match. One day, I’d love to ride the Amstel Gold Race. And the Elfstedentocht as well. They both seem like incredible rides and truly special challenges.”
