Jan Willem: “As of January 1, 2026, I have been with BPM Company for twelve years. Before joining BPM Company, I had already built a substantial career journey. After completing my degree in Business Administration and Law, I started out in the pensions industry; first as a pension specialist, and later as a team leader and department manager at Interpolis/Achmea. Within Achmea, I then transitioned into a role focused on managing projects and programs. One of those initiatives was a Business Process Management program. It was through that project that I was first introduced to Pega. I went on to lead the very first Pega implementation at Achmea.”

What started as a position as Delivery Manager quickly developed into a highly diverse role, where I combined management and strategic responsibilities with operational tasks—ranging from overseeing client engagements to taking a hands-on approach in commercial activities. As Eelco increasingly focused on his responsibilities as CEO, I gradually took over part of the tactical and organizational agenda. Over the years, I had many roles: delivery, sales, people management, leading the academy, consultancy, and project staffing. At times it was intense, but always varied and never dull. Being part of a small organization experiencing significant growth allowed me to witness that journey up close. I was fortunate to contribute meaningfully by simply doing what was needed, even when that meant taking on entirely different responsibilities each time.
My goal was to make an immediate impact, and I can confidently say: mission accomplished.”
